Kablammo!

So there I was, seriously considering going up to my professor and officially apologizing for submitting quite possibly the worst essay I’ve ever written, when I get the essay back only to discover that his comments on it read, in part: “A fine essay… delightful and informative — quite readable.” I don’t know if I’m more disappointed in my professor for liking this essay, my school for having so many people incapable of articulating an argument that anything looks good in comparison, or my self for writing such a shitty paper in the first place.

Maybe I should be happy that I did well, but I can’t shake the suspicion that I’m eventually going to collect on a huge installment of atrociously bad luck that precisely cancels out all the good things like this that have happened or will happen in my life.

In other news, I now go to bed with a really fucking annoying headache, and with $115 worth of standardized tests awaiting me in the morning. May the Yankees win or lose tonight; either way, I’ll be sure to find something to complain about.

  standardized tests can suck it.
